Salesperson:

40 hour work week, 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. each day with an hour for lunch.  Some Saturdays would be required, such as Saturdays before major flower industry holidays such as Easter, Secretary's Week, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Christmas and Thanksgiving.  Pay is a combination of salary/commission.  There are bonuses for the aforementioned holidays, based on individual team performance and individual attendance.  These bonuses can be significant, anywhere between $400 and $600.  Bonuses are also available for hitting certain individual sales goals.  401K, Health Care, Paid Holidays, Vacations/Personal Days.  Drug testing.  Pay period starts Thursday morning and runs through Wednesday night.  Payday is on Friday.

Job Description:  We will supply you with names and numbers of retail florists and party planners to call.  We will train you in the following: knowledge of the product you will be selling, care and handling of your product, basic sales techniques, our phone system, our computer system, our call sheet program, our route cut-off and loading procedure, basic billing and paperwork knowledge and how to visit customers on the road.

For your part, we expect you to be an outgoing and aggressive salesperson.  This means that you need to have a full call list of active customers.  By active we mean fifty customers buying about $500 per month.  We expect you to visit your customers once or twice a year as well as seeing new customers at the same time.  Salespeople should constantly look for and cultivate new customers.  Daily activities include calling new and existing customers.
